How do I get BookedOut?

Signing up for BookedOut is easy. Submit your profile now by clicking here: http://bookedout.com/signup.

How long does my profile take to activate?

Profiles are reviewed and activated on a rolling basis, taking anywhere from 1-3+ days to process. You'll receive an e-mail informing you that your profile has been accepted.

Why was my profile rejected?

Often, profiles will be automatically rejected if our system recognizes an applicant’s information from a previously created account. Please double check that all your details have been entered correctly and consider any previous e-mail addresses with which you may have used to sign up.

Can I view projects in my area?

You are only able to view projects you have been invited to, based on a client program match. Once BookedOut’s algorithm has paired you with any corresponding events in your area, you’ll receive notice via mobile app push notification, inviting you to apply and bid for the program.

How do I receive project invites?

Your event invites will correspond to the zip code you input with your address in your BookedOut profile. Please maintain a current zip in your contact information so that you're matched to events in your area.

Can I apply and bid for programs in different cities?

If you are going to be in a different city for an extended period of time, you may want to update your profile address to receive invites for that location. Like you, your profile can only be in one location at a time.

How do I help improve my chances of getting booked for projects?

Each client project matches freelancers to events based on your individual location, experience, skill set, and BookedOut rating. The more complete and robust your profile, the better you can sell yourself.

Update your profile with a variety of up-to-date photos & videos, relevant experience, and important skills.

Important Note: Pictures and videos can help to provide examples of and highlight your personality, interests, and presentation skills that are ideal for a specific role, brand casting, or persona.

Example: If the client project seeks a high-energy and articulate spokesperson to embody the brand and bring it to life, a quick creative clip will help highlight your talents and presentation skills. These profile options help you to present materials that are right to represent you for the various roles, castings, and events on the BookedOut platform.

Indicate your accurate availability for each event from the get-go. If you are unsure of your availability for an event day, simply do not respond until you are positive you are available and interested. Keep in mind, once you mark unavailable, you cannot be re-invited to that specific event.

How can I get paid faster?

While your official payment time may vary from project to project, the most efficient way to get paid is to sign up for direct deposit. This ensures the least possible amount of time between processing and payout. Please contact payment@bookedout.com with your full name and "Direct Deposit" in the subject line to get started.

What's the best way to use BookedOut?

The best way to ensure productive lines of communication between freelancers and clients is to download and utilize our mobile app. In the mobile app, you can receive notifications regarding upcoming events, program booking changes or detail updates and check-in with your on-site contact leading up to your booking.

What do I do if I forgot my password?

Not to worry. Just go to the sign in page, and click “forgot your password?” link to have a new password request sent to your e-mail update folder. Too many incorrect attempts will result in an account lockout, so please do not hesitate to use the link if you're having difficulty.

How do I change my mailing address on the BookedOut Platform?

You can edit information in the BookedOut mobile app by clicking the profile button in the lower left hand area of the home screen, then clicking "edit" in the top right hand corner.

How do I update my profile with new information?

Please log into your BookedOut mobile app profile to keep your information as current as possible. This ensures you're invited to projects that match your skill set, personality type, and interests!

I accidentally deactivated my account

Not a problem. Please contact support@bookedout.com with your full name and profile e-mail address to have your account reactivated.

My activation isn't showing up under completed events?

Event timesheets may take time to process through our system. If you’re still not seeing your activation after a few weeks, please contact payment@bookedout.com to confirm your hours have been approved.

What's Bill.com?

Bill.com is our trusted, industry leading, payment partner. Create a secure and private profile to ensure you are paid as promptly and efficiently as possible. Any freelancers must have a 100% free Bill.com account in order to receive direct deposit.

How long does it take to get paid?

Payment time varies depending on projects. Some process as quickly as 15 business days from the day you complete your event, others have a longer processing window of 30 business days, so please refer to the project information before you accept. Payment processing terms are subject to change without notice.

How do I get paid / can I set up direct deposit?

We have two options for payment through our payment partner Bill.com: direct deposit or physical check. If you  would like to set up direct deposit, please contact payment@bookedout.com with your full legal name and a subject line titled "Direct Deposit". You'll then receive instructions on how to complete the process. Any physical checks will be sent to the mailing address in your profile, although we do recommend enrolling in direct deposit to ensure shorter payout time.

When setting up my account in Bill.com, what do I put for 'Company Name'?

Please enter your full legal name in the input field labeled "company name", or your own company name if you have one. This is whom any payments will be made out to.

I set up my direct deposit. Why haven't I received my payment yet?

Once you've accepted the direct deposit request (emailed from Bill.com) and entered your bank account details, you're now ready to have your funds deposited after payment is processed. Signing up is certainly the fastest way to get paid, although it does not mean you'll receive funds instantly.

Bill.com says my free trial is almost up

You will never need to pay for your Bill.com account to receive payment from us. Instead of a personal receivables account, you may have accidentally created a business processing account. Just log in to your Bill.com profile and click on the "billing" tab, then select the option to downgrade your account. This will not affect any ability to receive payment from BookedOut.

I am having issues with my direct deposit, what do I do?

For your security, BookedOut has no visibility into your private banking details. Any questions or issues may be handled by Bill.com directly via their support page here: https://answers.bill.com/app/home.

I need to change my bank account details

Banking information can be modified by logging in to your Bill.com profile and visiting the “Overview” link from the settings gear icon in the top right hand corner. Under the “Your Company” header, you’ll see a link for “Bank Accounts” that can be updated by clicking the edit box in the top right corner of the window.

My hours were approved. Does that mean I've been paid?

If you see that hours have been “approved” in your completed events tab, this simply means that your activation participation has been confirmed and validated by your on-site contact. Payment may still be in process for a later date.

I didn't get my check

Physical checks are subject to USPS transit, weather delays and other forces of nature. If we have confirmed that your payment has been issued and processed (not just approved) and you haven't seen anything after 5-7 business days, please contact payment@bookedout.com for further information.

My check didn't clear

If 90 days have passed from the check issue date, the check will be automatically voided. Please contact payment@bookedout.com to receive a new check or to sign up for direct deposit. Cashing voided checks will result in a monetary penalty from your bank.

Why do you need my SSN?

BookedOut uses your social security number to verify your work status and issue any tax documentation if necessary. The information is kept safely and securely, and never shared with anyone.

Do you need my banking information?

No, any banking information is managed by our trusted partner Bill.com. For security and privacy purposes, BookedOut will never ask you for your banking details. Any information can be modified in your Bill.com profile.
